  • A huge thank you goes to Alan Hutton, Marine Architect and the dozens of volunteers from Irving shipbuilding who 20 years ago gathered all of the information spread all over the world that lead to the design of our MARCO POLO . There were not any blueprints of the original so Alan and his team of volunteers gave 10 years of their time and created a design for the Marco Polo .

Donations for the Marco Polo Project

We need your help! Now that the project is under way we need your support now more than ever, to keep the project moving ahead we need the funds to support the on going work. If you would like to help in the cost for this project please send your donations to the TD Canada Trust in Saint John. or if you like you can contact by email: Barry Ogden or Tom Creamer for a more direct route to the project funding. We thank you in advance for any assistance you may be able to provide.

The Marco Polo is indeed a grand project but like all projects it's costly; that is why we have developed this site. We need your support and we want to make it easy for you to give it.

We are just starting our Internet campaign to attract funding to the project; we hope to have a few choices in merchandise that you as a supporter of this project will be able to purchase, and thus advance us further toward our ultimate goal.

We plan to have more information on where we stand in reaching that goal, so stay tuned and spread the word because we can use all the good help we can get. Below are just a few of the products available for purchase that give a percentage of the sales back to the project.

  • The Marco Polo Suite – A gathering of singers and musicians in a tribute to one of Canada's most famous ships. Composed by Jim Stewart.
