Jennifer Raposo | I just wanted to say that this website has changed my life, I wrote back in 2006 searching for my father. Little did I know I would actually be reunited with him as well as the many family members on his side. I have not met them face to face yet but I have been in contact with some of them on a very regular basis. I have received letters and pictures and even some christmas cards this past christmas. It's been great. THANK YOU...with all of my heart How did you hear about us? -Other 5 March 2008 03:49am - Winnipeg Manitoba Webmaster Comments - Glad it helped. Hope all goes well.

W.I. Bill Little | This old geezer has quietly returned to New Brunswick from Ontario and is not disappointed.. Quiet solitary walks along the picturesque tidal flats of Passamaquoddy Bay on sunny, cloudy or stormy days, inspecting the denizens of the tidal pools and the creatures hiding on the ocean floor in crevices and under seaweed covered rocks that only a few hours prior were 5 to 30 feet under the turbulent salty sea water.. Places like Todds point just outside St Stephen, Ministers Island at St Andrews, Back Beach at Beaver Harbour, Hamilton Point at Oak Bay where beach stones have shiny mysterious minerals captured in them and of course beautiful Deer Island where one can appreciate the heights and the awesome power of the ever predictable Bay of Fundy tides. While I am sure there are many places in this Province and the world for that matter that are favoured by other people I personally love this rugged sea coast area of New Brunswick.. I have missed the sight of whales and seals and porpoises and eider ducks and eagles and fishing boats and the great alewives spawning run up the Dennis Stream every spring and of course the early morning and evening drives along the remote wilderness highway # 630 between Canterbury and St Croix... God, how I have missed this place How did you hear about us? -Aliens 27 February 2008 04:41pm - Fredericton

Thomas Qafzezi (Peters) | Searching for family ties in NB, (Steeves Settlement, Pititcodiac). My great great grandmother Mrs. Susan Hope who had a daughter by the name of Ada Hope. Ada married one James Thomas Campbell on Feb 26, 1890. They gave had many children (Elton, Mable, Ethel, Eva, Margaret, Thomas, and Jennie). They left for the U.S. in Feb of 1911. My understanding was that James Campbell had quite a bit of land in Steeves Settlement and that there was actually some family still remaining there. I do recall that there was one family member who used to come and visit who's name was Francis (male). Jennie married my great grandfather Thomas Peters Qafzezi in Massachusetts and had a child by the name of Everett Peters. That is all I know. Was hoping that someone would have some information that would be helpful. Interested in meeting any family members who might still be in the area. 24 December 2007 03:15am - Florida

Gary | Your website does not list a famous New Brunswicker, Louis B. Mayer. On the IMDb website I found the following information on him: Louis B. Mayer was born Lazar Mayer in the Ukraine and grew up in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada after his parents fled Russian oppression in 1886. He had a brutal childhood, raised in poverty and suffering physical and emotional abuse from his nearly-illiterate peddler father. In the early 1890s, he changed his name to Louis and fudged his birth date to reflect the more "patriotic" date of July 4, 1885. He moved to Boston in 1904 and struggled as a scrap-metal dealer until he was able to purchase a burlesque house. Although he made large sums by showing films (he made a sizable fortune off _The Birth of a Nation_ (1914) ), his early business ventures favored legitimate theater in New England. As his theater empire expanded, he had acquired and refurbished enough small movie theaters that he was able to move his business to Los Angeles and venture into movie production in 1918. Along with Samuel Goldwyn and Marcus Loew of Metro Pictures, he formed a new company called Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM). 4 November 2007 10:52pm --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

John R. Baker | I am the third son of Ed and Sara Baker who left Dalhousie in 1950 for a new paper mill town in Alabama. My intrest is in the name of the three masted schooner that was anchored in the Bay. I think it was captained by Happy Edwards.
