Site list is alphabetical, Cities and Towns first, then general areas. The top row divides the sections into three pages to avoid interminable scrolling. The second tier lists the individual areas found on that page. The clickable table below saves scrolling. Left click on the Region/City/Town name at the start of the Message area to come back to the top. More areas can be added if the need arises. Don't forget we have a chat site; you can leave messages to meet distant friends for a conversation. As of today (thanks to a suggestion by one of our readers), all new messages will be dated. The method of dating will be day/month/year, i.e. 04/01/99; the date appears at the first of each message.

26/11/13 Looking for info regarding my 4th great grandparents, William Kyle and Mary (Cooper) Kyle, who came to NB in 1829 from Co. Tyrone, N. Ireland. They lived in Sussex and thus I assume are buried there. Mary was born aout 1794. William was born about 1808 (from what I can glean from census records) Mary's mother, Margary Cooper, also came over in 1831, and stayed with the family.I loose track of her after 1851. She was born about 1772. ---- Children of William and Mary: ---- John Albert Kyle (about 1825/6-1910) Born in Co. Tyrone, brought over by his parents at age 2. He Married TWICE. His first wife died after seven years of marriage. His second wife was Eliza (Elizabeth) Jane RAY or MILLER (I have conflicting records with both surnames for her) After John Married Eliza in Saint John, NB, they stayed until 1885, then came down to Woburn, MA where they remained until they both died in 1910. These are my 3rd Great Grandparents. --- William Kyle JR was born in Sussex about 1837. I loose track of him after 1851/52. --- Jane/Mary Jane Kyle was born in 1839 in Sussex. She married Moses Chambers of that area and remained. --- Samuel Patrick Kyle was born about 1844 in Sussex, he married Elizabeth Jane RITCHIE. The family remained in Sussex and Sussex Corner. ------ I am mainly looking to connect with distant relatives, and to find out where William Kyle Sr, Mary (Cooper) Kyle, Margary (?) Cooper, William Kyle, Jane/Mary Jane (Kyle) Chambers, and Samuel and his wife, are buried. Thanks! Email: LadyAlaise@gmail.com

14/05/13 I am searching for Birth relatives by the surname Arseneault, this was the correct spelling at the time of my birth. I was born January 22, 1965 in Montreal Quebec and adopted in Toronto,Ontario. My given name was Marie Suzanne Lynne Arseneault later to be changed to Susan Marie Bachle. My birth mother was from a large family in New Brunswick and she was in her mid 20's in 1966 at the time of my adoption and she was also single. She was 5'1" and weighed about 112lbs. She had blonde hair which she wore in a bun and grey eyes. Her father, my grandfather, was 71 years old and was retired at the time of my birth and owned his own farm before his retirement he was a part time construction worker. Her mother, my grandmother, was aged 69 and worked part time babysitting and house cleaning. My mother had 10 siblings, a 46 year old brother who was tall with red hair, he was a truck driver and was married with 4 children. He had a heart condition. Next a 45 year old sister who was fairly tall with blonde hair, she was also married with 4 children. Next a 43 year old sister small and blonde hair. She was married with 4 children. Next a 42 year old sister tall, dark haired, she was sports minded and also married with 4 children. Next a 40 year old brother no occupation noted but he liked hunting and fishing. He had had a heart attack by this age. He was married with 6 children. Next a 39 year old brother he was short with red hair and was a bartender at this time. He had been hospitalized frequently for an ulcer. He was married with 5 children. Next a 37 year old brother short and dark haired. He was a truck driver. He was married with 4 children. Next a 36 year old sister, short with red hair. She was married with 4 children Next a 33 year old sister. She was a widow with 3 children. Next a 29 year old sister who was blonde. She was married with 7 children. My mother had moved to Toronto from Montreal, shortly after my birth to live with one of her married sisters. Her sister looked after me while my mother worked. I was put in the care Of the Children's Aid Society in November of 1966. My mother also has 2 other girls, one that was older than myself and was placed with a family member to live and Anne born September 1968 who was also placed for adoption. I am not searching to disrupt anyone's life I just feel that I am missing pieces of my roots and would like to know more about my birth family especially my mother. I know her decision must have been very difficult to make and have no hard feelings. If anyone has any information I would appreciate any input. Thank you Sincerely Susan Email: suebachle3@hotmail.com

08/07/13 As a SW Ontarian who has visited Carleton County for over two decades of his life (I am now 35) and have been in the area every summer since I was 10 yrs old, and purchased a home in centreville for vacation / rental two years ago. I have one bit of advice. DO NOT INVEST IN NEW BRUNSWICK. My parents didn't do too badly on the taxes of their 14 acres in deerville because it's "vacant land". I now caution them to never formally finish the house they've built as in NB, unless they're ready to sell, charges essentially double tax for non-primary residence. I was unaware of this. Talk about discouraging foreign investment. It's no wonder NB has the highest rate of home ownership in Canada, who would want to have a rental in this province?! And good luck finding ok tenants for this reason! It's no wonder they can afford that beautiful divided highway--wait, isn't the gas tax supposed to pay for that? which going by the price of gas they make more than enough on! I pay more property tax to the province for the 14k forclosure little dump of a house which was going to be a cottage(which I'm still fighting with ServiceNB about it's value they say it's 36,900 and don't take forclosures into account while realtors tell me I won't get more than 20-25k for it as we say screw this and attempt to sell. We pay more for this property in tax than I pay on my 100k houses in London Ontario here where I own 3 and they do nothing for me. 1500/yr! in tax alone. It's a good thing it's mortgage free! The realtors didn't seem to know Centreville where I am had sewers, that was another 90/quarterly we were unaware. Add it all up and it makes NO "cents" at all to invest in this province unless you're going to make it your permenant home. Email: dnhynes@hotmail.com

01/06/13 Langley RCMP is asking for the public's assistance to locate the family of Russell Edward KING. Mr. KING passed away in August of 2003. He chose to be cremated.
In February of this year, a representative of a funeral and cremation service attended the Aldergrove Community Police Office with the ashes of Mr. KING that had been shipped to him from Vanderhoof RCMP. The ashes were accompanied by a letter advising that the ashes had been recovered on the banks of the Nechako River and attempts to locate the next-of-kin had not been successful.
By law, the agency is not permitted to accept the ashes so they brought them to police. Investigators have attempted to find information about Mr. KING and locate his family, however given the amount of time that has passed; they have not been successful as many records have been destroyed. Police believe he had a common-law spouse by the name of Helen GLASS, whom they have been unable to locate.
In his lifetime, Mr. KING was employed as a tradesman with the Longshoreman. He was born on March 4th of 1941 in New Brunswick and passed away in Langley. His parent's names were William KING and Ethel DOTHWRIGHT.
At this time, police have exhausted the investigational possibilities and are seeking the public's assistance to locate Russell KING's family. If you have any information that would assist police with this investigation, please call Langley RCMP at 604-532-3200.
