19/01/10 I am trying to find family members of my great grandfather Francois Gauvin. He married Justine “Augustine” Leblanc in Shediac Westmoreland County New Brunswick in 1889. There was quite a difference in their ages. Justine was 25 and he was 69. They had two daughters, one being my grandmother Henrietta Gauvin who married Percy MacArthur. Henrietta was born in 1890 and died in 1962. The second daughter was Marie Alice Eleanor Gauvin born in 1892. Family information states that it was the second marriage for Francois and that his first wife died. They may have had up to twenty children. When I was 12 years old we moved back to Saint John NB and I went to Holy Trintiy school for grade 7. James and I went out together for awhile until I moved to Ontario again, at age 13. I was put in protestant orphanage when I was born. My father and mother were seperated at the time and later divorced.
