Shark
sighting from Cline Marine Tours
Recently I
had ask Mr. Conrad Cline of Cline Marine Whale Watching in Deer Island if he could share
any shark encounters he may have experienced over his many years on the Bay of
Fundy. This is one of is more recent encounters.
I have
personally seen various size creatures over the years...some appeared to have
been Great White, Basking, and Tiger etc. The photo above was from last summer.
My son was steering while I went below and when he slowed the boat on the NW
fringes of Owen Basin headed NW. I saw a significant wake on the port side of
our vessel. I thought he must be coming up to a small boat and went to
investigated further. The wake was actually from the fin of the shark in the
photo. The shark turned out to be a large Basking
shark.
